For the first time in a long time I can breathe..
Each hiatus has happened during different reasons of my personal life. Its nice to finally feel inspired and motivated once again. I’ve listed my top three things that had helped me break out of the slump.
- Get energy level up – There are plenty of ways to get the energy level back up, especially after the holidays. I try to remind myself that getting back in shape after a few months of indulgence and lack of exercise, that it will take time for my body to get used to the routine. So I’ve been starting my morning with a quick 10 minute stretch. Stretching first thing in the morning helps to wakeup the body, it makes me feel energized and ease away any stress or tension.
- Start eating well – I used to always go on the Wild Rose Cleanse in January, it’s my reset post-holiday. But I realized that cleansing only puts me in a rollercoaster of emotion. I don’t need to take drastic steps to get your diet back on track. Instead, I started getting back to my normal eating schedule. Eating breakfast in the morning is key, I usually have an acai bowl (recipe coming soon) that is high in protein with my favourite toppings, usually chia seeds, coconut flakes, goji berries, cocoa nibs and dried fruits.. And I usually eat a hard boiled egg after my bowl. This has been keeping me full and it boost up my energy naturally. I’ve also been meal prepping my meals, not only does this save me a lot of time and stress, this ensures that I’m eating healthier, discourages me to skip any meals and it helps to stay consistent with eating better.
- Absorb more positive energy – Another point that I always have to remember is that it’s okay to feel down sometimes but surrounding yourself with positive people can make a huge difference with the overall mental health. I am lucky to be surround with optimistic people who has positive outlooks on life. Absorbing their positive energy really helps me feel more motivated and inspired.
